Hey there! I am Jen, your soon to be biggest cheerleader ;-) A little about me...first and foremost I LOVE the Lord! I am not perfect, BUT I do wake up and try my best to make Him proud by spreading His love in as many forms as I know how. Imagery, encouraging, and educating being a few of them. I do believe HE gifted me in these departments so I don't take it lightly that I have a purpose in this world that involves me using a camera to help speak truth into many, but especially encouraging and lifting up women. Right after my passion for God, you will also hear me gush about my awesome husband. I truly feel blessed beyond measure that God brought our paths together. Our absolute favorite thing is to explore National Parks (see pic below)! Through my hubby is also where I gained my 4 bonus kiddos who are continuing to expand our family through finding their own true loves <3 It's such a beautiful thing to watch your kids grow into these beautiful souls and then be matched with their special person.
Now...I can't forget my "first kid" who comes on four legs by the name of Sammy and has been by my side through a LOT, including my first, second and third home. He walked with me through the last half of my teaching career and the life changing decision to leave it all behind to start my own photography business. He was also there for my first marriage, first pregnancy that also sadly ended in a miscarriage, and the end of my first marriage. He also comforted me through many tears of learning how to step-parent. While my story above may have started off sounding like a walk in the park, I say all of this to let you know I too, have been through it. This is only a fraction of the suffering I have walked through during my short time here on earth that has helped develop me into the women I have become today. Every. Single. Thing we go through makes us stronger and develops us into the women God intended us to be. Even when evil has prevailed in our stories, God works it all out for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Now that you know a little bit more about your soon to be cheerleader, let me tell you how I stumbled, and mean STUMBLED into boudoir. Speaking frankly, I was literally talked into doing my first boudoir shoot. lol! I was so nervous and had no idea what on earth I was even supposed to do. One thing I have learned along this crazy journey, is that when God has gifted you with something, you don't need a degree, or even experience! I have a crazy story to share on how He got thru to me on exactly that so definitely ask!
Back to my first boudoir session, it was almost immediate in that first session that I unexpectedly discovered the power behind boudoir shoots. They have the ability to rejuvenate a woman's confidence in a matter of hours! It's unveiling and truth provoking! To watch a women walk in shy and speaking not so nice words about herself and her body, to watching her strut out the door thanking me for months (and even years) to come for the experience she had WAS and STILL IS mind blowing to me. It wasn't just the impact on each women though! As more time passed and I worked with many wives, husbands were often personally reaching out to thank me for igniting a spark in their marriage again. It literally only took a few shoots before I realized boudoir was far more than just "sexy pictures." I grew extremely passionate about helping women thru this unveiling experience.
I know...that is a lot! Not your typical "About Me" page but I have never been very "typical." PLUS...I'm going to see your booty so I figured you might want to know a bit more about who this person is. lol
